TFC Poultry, located in Ashby, Minnesota, first opened its doors as a processor of backyard birds in the local area in 2008. Their story goes back to raising chickens for a 4-H project in 3rd grade; with big imaginations, they began selling frozen chickens to family, friends and neighbors.

We are a value-driven company that works hard to always take care of our family, team, partners, and community.
— TFC Poultry

TCF Poultry came to fruition at the ages of 18 and 21 with only eagerness in their back pockets. They have made many changes and achievements throughout the years, but their proudest accomplishment is evolving into the greatest de-boning team in the world. TFC Poultry offer more than just poultry services, they also raise corn and soybeans in efforts to continually give different perspectives in the agricultural industry.

And in 2009 they purchased and remodeled the facility to become federally inspected - since then there have been many changes for growth and transformation.

In 2023 TFC Poultry underwent another remodel with the help, vision and expertise of Sarah Carlson of Theisen Design Studios - an interior designer based out of New York Mills, Minnesota.

The new office space of TFC Poultry was build around the original historic building that is home to their growing business. To highlight the buildings original architecture Sarah showcased the original brick and brought in several new modern elements for a sleek design and added contrast. To bring in light-filled office spaces they utilized full glass front DIRTT walls.

The partner’s offices feature custom black walnut desks by Wendell of Danielson Design Co. out of Ottertail - Minnesota, and a large, multi-sectional sliding glass door that allows them to work and collaborate elbow to elbow or have the option to slide the doors closed for a more private office setting when necessary.

A couple fun features of these custom built desks includes the ability to raise them for standing and also allows them to be connected to maximize the desk’s working space.

Just across the hall you will find a sleek conference room. Sarah mixed in some additional traditional elements with painted wainscoting, as was done in the partner's offices as well, to achieve a 'cigar lounge' inspired interior feel and finish. The conference room also hosts custom designed tables and counter-space for a cohesive feel between the partner’s offices.

One of my favorite elements are the ‘teamwork’, ‘focus’ and ‘commitment’ branding we designed to line the hallway.

A Note From The Interior Designer:

This new office has such incredible details and has taken so many incredible partners getting it here. Hammers Construction has been working diligently turning this historic building remodel and addition into an office for this fast-paced company. We created awesome glass front DIRTT walls from Smartt Interior Construction, stunning custom desks and conferences tables from Wendell Danielson, awesome office furniture through Connect Interiors, custom designed signage and wall art cut and finished by Bearings And More of Wadena and gorgeous built-ins and wall millwork (check out all that trim on the walls) by Miran Creek.

Good projects are always a partnership.
